8/365 – Out & About.
I’ve always wanted to take more street candids of people but over coming that initial fear of even pointing the camera at someone can be more then enough to cause you to miss a shot and I’ve passed up quite a few shots for said reason.

Yeah, I’m a real chicken with that, I’m not too good with street portraiture.
I went to a Diane Arbus exhibition and she’d said in one of her captions that she too was very much frightened of taking photos of people that were looking at her. She admitted a lot of her early work consisted of using quite a big zoom lens and cropping the photos to make them appear personal, when in fact she was quite some distance away, safe behind her zoom lens.
It’s a fear we can get over, and probably with practice.
