It’s Spring!
Now that everything is melting here in Saskatoon (knock on wood) there is much more for a photographer to get out and do. Whether it’s catching up with the geese while they are getting ready to set up nest and raise a family or just take a lovely model down to river landing and have a shoot. I plan on finishing my vehicle rig I started buying parts for and achieving the goals I have set for myself for 2010.
I’ve a friend who has recently purchased an import car and has been plugging away at it all winter to get it ready for some sunlight this spring and he’s been bugging me to take it out for a shoot so I plan on doing just that once my rig is complete. A few places I have in mind for the shoot providing I am permitted to use them are the monstrous parking lot at Sask Place (Credit Union Center) and I am still scouting out some quiet roadway to use for some nice motion shots. I expect this all to take place hopefully by the end of April providing mother nature doesn’t plan to plunge Saskatchewan back into the ice age for another 6 weeks.
Some other projects I got on the go is my mini-studio for product photography and what ever else interests me on a rainy day and my recent purchase of extension tubes so I can try my hand at some more macro photography. On that note I am off to see if I can catch a few birds.
